In every way, this burger is satisfying. It's not too enormous to cause existential crises while eating it, but it's also not too little to leave many diners starving, especially if fries were ordered.
The Hot Ones Burger is crafted with an Angus beef patty and served with Monterey Jack cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and, of course, plenty of Hot OnesTM Spicy ShackSauce.
Hot Ones Chicken Sandwich really stood out to us. It is prepared with a crispy, fried white-meat chicken patty that is covered in a layer of Monterey Jack cheese, Hot Ones Spicy ShackSauce, and crisp applewood smoked bacon.
A toasted potato bread is sandwiched between all of that. We decided to add some extra heat to this sandwich in the form of "Last Dab: Apollo" hot sauce because the bun, cheese, and chicken all work well together to create a pleasant backdrop for the hot sauce.
To be quite honest, of the four new menu options, the Hot Ones Cheese Fries are the least interesting. They may appear fantastic because of a sprinkle of vivid red Aleppo pepper, but they don't really stand out.
Instead, all they are is the standard Shake Shack crinkle-cut cheese fries with spicy sauce drizzled on top. These fries didn't stick out as something novel or particularly interesting, despite the fact that they are still fairly nice overall.
These fries' applewood bacon bits stick to them more effectively than any other bacon-topped fries we've ever encountered, as if by some bizarre sorcery.
Each bite is really sublime since each fry has chunks of bacon that are practically glued to it thanks to the hot sauce and cheese mixture, which is clearly some sort of perfect edible adhesive.
