Chocolate Truffle Chocolate Milk Recall August 2022
Two more sweet treats have been removed from grocery store shelves just days after H-E-Creamy B's Creations Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream was recalled.
The FDA announced the recall of Farmer's All Natural 2% Reduced Fat Chocolate Milk Pints and That's it Dark Chocolate Truffle items on August 5.
Because the packaging did not indicate that the chocolate truffles "may contain trace amounts of milk proteins," they were removed from the stores.
People who are allergic to milk or have a great sensitivity to it risk a significant or catastrophic allergic reaction if they ingest these foods. The FDA blamed "milk chocolate cross-contamination on shared lines."
Fig, Date, Banana, Raisin, and Fig with Sea Salt 3.5-, 5-, and 16-ounce pouches are impacted. From March 23, 2023 until July 8, 2024, the products expire. Online and in stores.
Royal Crest's Reduced Fat Chocolate Milk also contained unlisted egg. Egg allergies can induce a life-threatening allergic reaction.
The milk pints with the code date AUG-22 were sent to merchants in southern Colorado, including Pester/Alta, Kwik Shop, Mesa Lagrees Grocery, Roller's Donut & Pastry Shop, and Parkview Medical Center's Coffee Station.
Despite neither product being connected to illness or unpleasant reactions, the FDA suggests returning truffles and chocolate milk for a full refund.
